Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American actor, singer and writer who is best known for her role as Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. The actress began her career as a stage artist during the 1950s starting by performing in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. After that, she acted on Broadway for a number of shows until the year 1957, in which Li'l abner was famous at the National Theatre. The singer also released her debut album of music, It's Time For Tina that same year. Louise first appeared in Hollywood as Griselda Walden, in God's Little Acre a 1957 drama film. This movie was an enormous success and Louise even won the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. In the course of this film, she was joined the Actors Studio in New York and developed her association to Lee Strasberg as his student. She signed on with CBS in 1964 as Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her acting career effectively with a variety of roles between Broadway as well as Hollywood portraying somber characters as contrasted to her perception of being a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1, she played Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. In recent times, she has also become a renowned director on popular TV programs like Supernatural and The 100. She was born on the 28th of August, 1965, in Essex. As a young girl, 3, her family moved her to Toronto where she lived in the city for her entire childhood. When she was selected in 1997 for the role of Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has lived there ever since.
